Contents of this page:

We, VAYA Holding II GmbH, are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all associated services. This statement informs about our efforts to comply with the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG) in implementation of the EU Directive 2019/882.

01. Compliance with the Requirements

This website currently does not meet the requirements of the Web Accessibility Guidelines under the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are aware of the existing barriers. A comprehensive revision is already planned with the goal of complying with the accessibility standards and ensuring the accessibility of our content for all users.

If you encounter content or functions that make it difficult or impossible for you to access information, please contact us directly in the meantime at:

02. Non-accessible Content

Some content is still not accessible due to the following reasons:

Usability and Navigation
  • Buttons, links, menus, tabs, and accordions are partially not marked with ARIA labels and are not fully usable via keyboard
  • A ‘Skip to content’ link is currently not available to skip the menu
  • Keyboard navigation is not possible in several areas (e.g., language switch, grid and slider navigation, mega-menu, accordions, tabs, form checkboxes, gallery popup close)
  • Focus indicators are missing or not sufficiently visible
  • Dropdown arrows and social media icons are too small
  • Focus and hover effects change content (e.g., menus, image boxes)
Presentation and Readability
  • Font sizes are sometimes too small
  • Low color contrast in some places
  • Layout issues when zooming in
Structure and Content
  • Links are not always clearly labeled
  • Heading structure is not consistently correct
  • Forms lack labels
  • Language definition for individual phrases is missing
  • Status messages for forms appear only visually, but not programmatically (screen readers do not provide feedback after submitting a form)
Images and Documents
  • Some images contain text or lack alternative text

The following content is not accessible for the reasons listed below:

b) Disproportionate Burden:

Videos on YouTube:

Videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions or a textual alternative (WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.3 (Audio Description) and 1.2.5 (Media Alternative)), meaning that spoken content is not available for deaf users. We believe that fixing this issue would represent a disproportionate burden under the accessibility requirements.

General Videos:

For some recorded videos and audio files, the required audio description or a textual alternative is missing (WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.3 (Audio Description) and 1.2.5 (Media Alternative)), meaning that spoken content is not available for deaf users. We believe that fixing this issue would represent a disproportionate burden under the accessibility requirements.

PDF:

Our PDF documents are not fully accessible. If you need a specific PDF file from us that is not yet available in an accessible format, please let us know via our contact form. We are working on further improvements in providing accessible PDF documents and ask you to reach out to us if you notice any barriers.

c) The content is not covered by the applicable legislation:

  • Live-transmitted time-based media
  • Online maps and map services
  • Internal areas and external tools
  • External content such as social media feeds
