Varied winter fun
If you love skiing and snowboarding, you will get your money’s worth in Pfunds. Your possibilities to glide endlessly over the slopes of the region are limitless. The ski resorts you can ski are so numerous that you can get dizzy while reading this. Let’s try it anyway: The “Zwei Länder Skiarena” offers you 211 km of slopes from the Austrian Nauders to the Italian Vinschgau. With this ticket you are on the road in five different ski areas: Schöneben-Haideralm, Watles, Sulden am Ortler, Trafoi am Ortler and Nauders.
With the large-capacity ski passes “Ski 6” and “Snowcard Gold” you can choose between access to four or even six ski areas. The “Snowcard Gold” grants you access to 70 lifts and 365 kilometres of slopes. It applies in Samnaun-Ischgl, Nauders, on the Kaunertal Glacier and in Fendels. There are also great fun parks and children’s play worlds. The “Ski 6” ski pass is also in no way inferior to this. It offers you access to more than 80 lifts and 350 kilometres of slopes in the Tyrolean ski areas Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, Kaunertal Glacier and Fendels, Nauders, Venet. All right?
Winter experiences off the slopes
Ski tourers can take part in several guided ski tours with local mountain guides in the border triangle or fight their way up through the white splendour and then whizz down through the powder. Exciting and at the same time idyllic , your trip will be in any case . Or would you rather take it a little easier? Also snowshoe hikes will certainly give you pleasure and leave lasting impressions. You can really enjoy nature and the sparkling snow while cross-country skiing.
In the Pfundser Tschey, the whole family can glide along relaxed on about three flat kilometers. But it is also much more challenging runs on offer with a total of 120 kilometers of trails of the Tyrolean Oberland. And then there are the many toboggan runs in Pfunds and the surrounding area. Especially children love the tobogganing fun, but even as an adult, tobogganing is a great pleasure when you throw yourself into the curves at high speed. Try it out again.
Ice climbing in the mountains
Ice climbing in the mountains? If you are a professional, you have numerous opportunities in the Tyrolean Oberland. Are you curious, but not an expert? Don’t worry you don’t have to climb the glacier for ice climbing: the 17-metre-high ice tower directly in Pfunds lets you try it out in a safe environment. And there are also other great things to experience in winter in the center of Pfunds. Here, and also at many other locations in the area, you can go ice skating or curling with the whole family.
