Both in summer and in winter, the lake and the mountain landscape of the Karwendel and Rofan mountains are your adventure playground in the breathtakingly beautiful countryside around Lake Achensee. In summer, you can discover more than 500 kilometers of marked hiking trails or one of the many mountain bike trails. For the cycling enthusiast, you can choose between a leisurely cycle around the lake to a challenging mountain ascent. To cool off, there are many water activities around the lake. Two golf courses, one of them a Leading Golf Course and one of the oldest in Austria, allow you to tee off in front of a spectacular backdrop. In winter, four quiet ski resorts invite you to experience winter at its best. Tobogganing, snowkiting, ski touring and winter hiking are some of the many activities on offer at Lake Achensee.
