Holiday in Kaprun
Where winter and summer are at one place
Go skiing in the morning, play a round of golf in the afternoon and jump into Lake Zell before sunset: now this is what I call variety. All to be found in the Zell am See-Kaprun area. The summer hiking paradise starts right outside your door, not far away are the Zeller See golf course and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier, where you can ski until July. Speaking of skiing: in winter, many choices await both on and off-piste – whether you come for skiing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, tobogganing or ice skating you will find fun for all the family.

The adventure in Kaprun
High up to the highest top
The holiday region Zell am See – Kaprun is something special. In the Kaprun part, the Kitzsteinhorn is a ski area that extends to over 3,000 meters above sea level. Here you can make your turns over groomed slopes until the summer. The Maiskogel and the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See complete the winter sports offer. In addition, the ski resort also offers excellent infrastructure for your winter holiday with the family and experiences away from the ski slopes. Book your time-out in the mountains.
In Kaprun you don’t have to choose between a relaxed chill out vacation and an active summer vacation in the mountains. Here you can experience the best of both worlds. Themed trails, tough mountain climbs, leisurely family hikes, mountain bike trails, a bike park and our lakes ensure that you can plenty of choice. Or how about canyoning, rafting or a torchlight hike through the Siegmund-Thun Gorge? Golfers can visit one of the many golf courses in the area, for example in Zell am See, Mittersill or Saalfelden.
Our excursion tip
ICE CAMP
on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier
Experience the world of ice and snow, consisting of a 12-meter Igloo, which can be reached either from the runs of the Kitzsteinhorn glacier or on the 30-minute, signposted ICE CAMP Trail. In the igloos you will find a bar, a sun deck and every year a changing art installation. The camp is open from January to June and is built in eight weeks from 60 tons of ice and 3,500 cubic meters of snow.
