"The Salzburger Land is the heart of the heart of Europe."

Hugo von Hofmannsthal

Between mountains
and lakes

Do you dream of wide slopes, varied ski safaris and culinary experiences even at the ski hut? Then a ski holiday in Salzburger Land is just the right thing for you. The Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area offers you endless fun on the slopes with just one ticket thanks to its merger with the ski area of Zell am See – Kaprun. In Fieberbrunn, freeriders experience the finest powder snow experiences away from the groomed slopes, while cross-country skiing fans appreciate the extensive network of trails and winter hikers discover the quieter side of the snow-covered winter landscape. Thanks to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area, the ski season in Salzburger Land lasts from the end of October to mid-may.

When the snow gives way to the lush green of the alpine meadows, you should lace up your hiking boots. After all, between the Hohe Tauern and the Pinzgau Grass Mountains, more than 7,200 kilometers of marked hiking trails are waiting to be discovered. In addition, the Salzburger Land is considered a paradise for mountain bike enthusiasts. Epic nature trails are available as well as tricky bike parks. If you prefer to swing your clubs and hike on fairways, you can do so in one of 19 golf clubs – 14 of which are partner clubs of Golf Alpine. In addition to the popular Lake Zell, numerous mountain lakes offer you refreshing cooling off in summer.
