The 25 municipalities and numerous side valleys of the Zillertal offer active guests an excellent infrastructure for their summer or winter holidays in the mountains. In winter you can discover the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch ski area, the Zillertal Arena with the winter sports resorts Zellam Ziller and Gerlos, the ski areas on the Penken and Ahorn in Mayrhofen and the glacier ski area Hintertux with the large ski area Ski Zillertal 3000. True skiing fans can also romp around in summer on the slopes of the Hintertux Glacier, Austria’s only year-round ski resort. In addition, you can expect a particularly large hiking area, a network of mountain bike trails, high ropes courses, via ferratas, rafting, canyoning and paragliding, adventure and water playgrounds for the little ones, running routes and trail running routes. At the Par 71 golf course in Uderns, a “Leading Golf Course of Austria”, you can play from March to November in front of the impressive mountain scenery.
