Spectacular tees in the Alps

The province of Salzburg offers golf-savvy guests 19 golf clubs, one of the most popular is the Zell am See-Kaprun Saalbach Golf Club. It is the only Leading Golf Course with 36 holes in the Alps. The course Schmittenhöhe with its 18 holes has many risk and reward shots, while the course at Kitzsteinhorn gives golf fans of all levels pleasure. The Urslautal Saalfelden Golf Club, just 30 minutes from Zell am See, offers an 18-hole championship course right at the foot of the Steinernes Meer.

In Tyrol, more than 20 golf clubs offer well-kept fairways in the most beautiful holiday region. Courses on the valley floor are just as demanding as some of the alpine courses. The Zillertal-Uderns Golf Club is particularly popular. The member of the Leading Golf Courses of Austria is located between glaciers and mountains on a slightly hilly area. If you hit a hole in one on the 14 in a tournament round (par 3, 114 meters, big green), you will receive a one-carat diamond as a reward. The oldest club in Tyrol and also a Leading Golf Course is the Achensee golf club.
